Coach sports and inspire youth in Ghana while promoting teamwork and health.
The Play for Change Sports Development Project is a VolunTour Africa and Care for Society Network International (CfSNI) initiative designed to use sports as a powerful tool for education, empowerment, and social transformation.
Targeting community youth, high school students, and junior high school children, the project blends 20 hours of structured weekly sports training with optional classroom learning and community care sessions, creating an environment where children not only grow athletically but also socially, mentally, and emotionally.
Through coaching in Football, Basketball, Rugby, Handball, and Swimming, participants develop discipline, teamwork, leadership, and resilience — skills that prepare them for life beyond the field.

Build student confidence through mentorship and support
Volunteers stay with vetted host families or in shared volunteer guesthouses. Homes have basic but comfortable amenities, including electricity and running water (in most areas). Rooms are typically shared with 1–3 other volunteers.
Two meals per day (breakfast and dinner) are provided by host families or the volunteer house. Meals are homemade and typically include rice, plantains, stews, and local Ghanaian dishes. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with notice.
