This short-term project (1–2 weeks) is designed for travelers who want a meaningful cultural immersion experience while supporting local creative economies. Volunteers participate in artisan workshops, document oral histories, and engage in community-based cultural tourism. It’s more than sightseeing, it’s co-creating, learning, and empowering through culture.
Celebrate Heritage. Empower Artisans. Experience Authentic Africa.
Ghana’s culture is a living story told through color, rhythm, craft, and community.
The VolunTour Africa Culture & Craft Tour Project invites you to step into this story. This unique experience connects volunteers, students, and explorers with local artisans, storytellers, and cultural custodians in the Sogakope area of the Volta Region.
Through hands-on collaboration and immersive learning, you’ll help preserve traditional arts, promote cultural tourism, and empower artisans to sustain their craft for future generations.
Be more than a tourist — be a storyteller, a learner, and a custodian of culture. Join VolunTour Africa’s Culture & Craft Tour to Serve. Learn. Explore. Create.
